Paper Notebooks: From an Industrial Model to a Tool of Expression is an ongoing research project that attempts to understand how the structure, shape and functionality of a paper notebook can influence the way we take notes as well as the frequency and efficiency of use. The thesis uses theoretical research and practical methodologies to analyse paper notebooks, to discover how different prompts and activities can change the users' mindset and consciousness, while inviting them to produce personalised DIY notebooks in their personal practice.
