The Blind Man and the Lame We ought to help each other. Two wretched men, one blind, the other crippled and helpless, are so wearied with the burdens of life that they ask to die. But the blind man stumbles accidentally on the lame, and proposes that they shall join company and help each other. He will carry the cripple, who in turn will guide his steps; so they will bear each other’s burdens.
